The Client

Newport Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is a leading automobile dealership serving the Middletown, Rhode Island, market.

The Objective

The owners needed to help transition from the longstanding name of “Clare Dodge Jeep Ram” to the new “Newport Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram” without losing the brand equity of the old dealership, while also driving showroom sales of vehicles.

THE Strategy

A comprehensive campaign was developed that would allow the PMC team to utilize media buying, creative design, social media management, video production, website development, and digital marketing to meet the objectives. A new logo and the associated branding was the top priority for each PMC unit. Media buyers were challenged to create a consistent message across a mix of traditional and digital channels, the creative team developed a new logo and refreshed all collateral pieces and the website, the social media effort centered on branding the dealership and driving online users to specific vehicle brands. Video was used to create dramatic imagery of the Jeep lifestyle, while the digital media effort focused on Geo-targeting and conquesting.

THE OUTCOME

The ability to get real leads and real prospects through PMC’s overhaul of the website and digital marketing ultimately increased sales in the first fiscal year of the re-brand by 21%. The new website, social media strategy, in store signage, creative assets, and digital marketing campaign all contributed to the dealership’s growth in year-over-year metrics.
